North Central Texas-Area Claimants Prosecuted for Unemployment Insurance Fraud
AUSTIN – The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) warns that criminal prosecutions for Unemployment Insurance (UI) fraud are pursued aggressively. TWC refers cases in which UI benefits are obtained through fraud or deception to local district attorneys offices. TWC has provided evidence resulting in the recent prosecutions of six North Central Texas-area claimants. Restitution orders totaling $34,253 will be returned to the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund, which TWC administers for the state of Texas.
• Frank D. Allison, 43, received two years deferred adjudication probation from the 40th District Court, Ellis County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Allison was ordered to pay $6,888 restitution and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Lee E. Griffin, 34, received three years deferred adjudication probation from the 380th District Court, Collin County, on the charge of state jail felony theft. Griffin paid full restitution prior to sentencing, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Keith A. Hopkins, 32, received three years deferred adjudication probation from the 199th District Court, Collin County, on the charge of state jail felony theft. Hopkins paid full restitution of $6,270 before sentencing, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Larry J. Like, 37, was convicted of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception by the 18th District Court, Johnson County, and was sentenced to five years regular probation. Like was ordered to pay $7,954 restitution and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Terry Perry, 44, received two years deferred adjudication probation from the 401st District Court, Collin County, on the charge of state jail felony theft. Perry was ordered to pay $6,588 restitution and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Jimmy D. Street, 43, received three years deferred adjudication probation from the 366th District Court, Collin County, on the charge of state jail felony theft. Street was ordered to pay $6,553 restitution, a $250 fine and $248 in court costs, and to perform 120 hours of community service.
TWC’s Regulatory Integrity Division is charged with detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse. The division enforces all regulatory statutes within the jurisdiction of the agency, including Tax, Workforce, Trade Act, Skills Development, Self-Sufficiency, Child Care and all other programs that TWC administers. Dallas-Area Claimants Prosecuted for Unemployment Insurance Fraud

Brooks was ordered to pay $3,814 restitution and a $1,000 fine, and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Thelma M. Fletcher, 60, received one year unsupervised probation from Criminal District Court No. 7, Dallas County, on the charge of Class A misdemeanor theft. Fletcher was ordered to pay $7,260 restitution, a $500 fine and $221 in court costs.
• Roberta A. Hicks, 41, was convicted of Class A misdemeanor securing execution of document by deception by the 194th District Court, Dallas County, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Hicks was ordered to pay $500 in court costs.
• Toney A. Johnson, 44, received three years deferred adjudication probation from the 282nd District Court, Dallas County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Johnson was ordered to pay $6,868 restitution and a $1,500 fine, and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Marcus A. Kenney, 41, received three years deferred adjudication probation from the 282nd District Court, Dallas County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Kenney was ordered to pay $3,188 restitution, a $1,500 fine, $198 in court costs, and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Karla D. Littrell, 41, received one year deferred adjudication probation from the 291st District Court, Dallas County, on the charge of Class A misdemeanor securing execution of document by deception. Littrell paid full restitution of $6,300 before sentencing, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and court costs.
• Dar Oum, 36, received three years deferred adjudication probation from Criminal District Court No. 6, Dallas County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Oum was ordered to pay $7,216 restitution, a $1,500 fine and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Sherreese L. Smith, 38, was convicted of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception by the 265th District Court, Dallas County, and was sentenced to four years regular probation. Smith was ordered to pay $9,307 restitution and a $1,000 fine, and to perform 120 hours of community service.

• Shawn L. Taylor, 41, was convicted of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception by the 194th District Court, Dallas County, and was sentenced to five years regular probation. Taylor was ordered to pay $8,000 restitution and a $300 fine.
• Ashonti R. Ward, 31, received two years deferred adjudication probation from the 292nd District Court, Dallas County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Ward was ordered to pay $4,801 restitution and a $1,000 fine, and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Maurice H. Wells Jr., 33, received two years deferred adjudication probation from the 291st District Court, Dallas County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Wells was ordered to pay $2,540 restitution, $598 in court costs and to perform 120 hours of community service.
• Latricia Y. Williams, 34, received four years deferred adjudication probation from the 282nd District Court, Dallas County, on the charge of state jail felony securing execution of document by deception. Williams was ordered to pay $5,406 restitution, a $1,000 fine and $211 in court costs.

Bardwell Council Members In The Know

Bardwell City Councilmembers Alvie Hollingsworth and Maggie Walker, as well as former councilmembers, including the former Mayor know that Shannon Spurgeon has had sex with Mayor Jinker Gentry as well as former Chief of Police Michael Meissner. In addition, Shannon has had sex with multiple officers from another police department in Ellis County.

Why does the Councilmembers Hollingsworth and Walker allow the Mayor to continue raping this town for every dime he can, while he says there is no such thing as freedom of speech in Bardwell.

How can our police officers illegaly write tickets, the mayor illegally collect and asses the fines, with the non-employee (if she isn't getting paid by the city or Jinker for her work at city hall)- maybe its her "other services rendered to the mayor".

Why doesnt our council oust the Mayor in accordance with the law?

The first City Council meeting since the Ellis County Press article "Bard-Not-So-Well" will be held this Monday night at City Hall. Wonder what will transpire there? More open meetings act violations? The police chief writing a citizen a criminal trespass for city hall, like he did for a dog's owner walking him on state right of ways? Does that mean he is prohibited from being on any STATE OWNED property?

In other news, thoughts, and opinions- Maybe Shannon should open up a business there at the Trailer House? We could call it Shannon's Maison Dairyaire, or better yet, the "Best Lil Whorehouse In Bardwell". Maybe that is what Jinker is paying her for- "other services rendered". After all, he has had "other services rendered"by Shannon before I wonder if Michael Spurgeon knows that she and Jinker, along with other former cops and local residents have been "with her". Some of which, we might suggest an STD test for (just to be on the safe side), since multiple partners and risky behaviors can spread them nasty diseases.

Do you 1099 that kind of income, or charge state sales tax? Do you report it on your unemployment as "earned income", or "hourly wages"?

By the way, did you know that City Hall is only open a half a day now since the resignation of the City Secretary? Why not just move City Hall to Shannon's trailer, since our Mayor has whored out our tax dollars for his own personal gain?

BARDWELL – Maggie Walker stays mostly in her house because she’s less apt to get harassed by city police officers, the ones she hired two years ago when she served as a police administrator.

And now that a state agency regulating peace officers informed Bardwell council members of those officers not being in office legally, Walker said she and others are waiting for Mayor P.W. “Jinker” Gentry to make the officers legit.

“They’re [licensed] peace officers, they just can’t work here,” said Walker, who serves on the three-member city council with Gentry and Alvie Hollingsworth.

Walker said the council must approve the hiring of the officers, which was not done.

“She hired them two years ago,” said Gentry, the 74-year-old mayor of this town of 583 people southwest of Ennis.

The mayor said he has no plans to have the officers approved, partly because he informed current Chief Michael Spurgeon the officers weren’t required to get council approval.

Gentry admitted Spurgeon brought the officers to a council meeting, but only as a “meet and greet” gesture.

“Whether it was legal or not, we don’t know,” Gentry said, who noted he received a letter from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education informing him about the officers in question – two non-paid reserves.

“It [letter] just verified their employment.

TCLEOSE Director of Enforcement and Licensing James Heironimus disagreed.

“If these officers did not get council approval, they are inappropriately commissioned,” he said, paraphrasing his letter.

Heironimus said if his agency found out the officers were writing citations while not commissioned, he would “go after” the police chief.

“We’ve done it for years. Other things were illegal that we [found out],” Gentry said.

“We were working illegal at the time [of the police officer hiring], we didn’t know it.

“There’s no use putting this [BS] in the paper,” Gentry said.

No more municipal court?

In mid-August, Bardwell’s city judge at the time, Justice of the Peace Jackie Miller Jr., resigned, and since then, Gentry said he has been collecting some fines and fees from residents who have received speeding tickets or other moving violations from the two officers who are not operating in Bardwell legally.

Gentry said he has yet to hire a court clerk to handle the fines and fees, but that a municipal judge can be hired if needed.

Asked to the legality of such a situation, Gentry said he didn’t know.

“I’ve heard of the laws being quoted, but I don’t know [if it’s illegal or not]. I’d have to look it up [myself].”

City attorney Don Stout could not be reached for comment on this story.

When asked whether a resident needed to talk to a judge or just pay the fines to Gentry, the mayor admitted, “Yeah, I can take that [fines].”

Texas Rangers investigate
Shannon Spurgeon, a former city employee and wife of the police chief, is working at city hall on a volunteer basis, Gentry said.

She’s also not bonded - a requirement for public employees.

“She’s not bonded and she’s not handled money since July,” Gentry said. Walker, the councilwoman, said Spurgeon has been denied by four bonding companies.

Spurgeon did not return repeated requests for comment.

Texas Rangers investigators, meanwhile, met with Gentry about possible criminal violations by a former police chief, Michael Chase Meissner.

“I met with them two or three months ago at the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office. That investigator was as nice as he could be.”

“When [Meissner] was here, we had lots of officers,” Walker said.

“We didn’t know many of them. There was quite a few.” Those officers, Walker said, did not get council approval either.

Heironimus, the director with TCLEOSE, said if Meissner’s past hires and the current chief’s hires were found to be writing citations while not “appropriately commissioned,” his agency would seek fines, some as high as $100 per day for each violation.

“The police chief is ultimately responsible,” said Heironimus.

“I’ve been watching him [Meissner] a long, long time.”

When asked to comment about the allegations in this story, Meissner instead praised Gentry.

“As far as Bardwell is concerned, I haven’t worked there in almost three years as chief. I observed Gentry to be an honest hard-working mayor,” Meissner said.

“I never at any time observed anything illegal or unethical in his capacity of being the mayor or as a private citizen.

“I cannot say this about everyone but he is one of the finest men I have ever met. Bardwell as a community is lucky to have a mayor that cares so much about the community.”

When first approached by another Ellis County Press reporter for comment, Meissner contacted a local high school and a school district superintendent claiming the reporter was trying to lure him into making “sexual harassment” allegations, according to this local district’s officials.

Meissner has been the subject of numerous media reports on his past arrest history and employment with other agencies, has been on County Attorney Joe Grubbs’ radar screen for quite some time.

Grubbs also said his office is “well aware” of the investigations into the situation in Bardwell, but until those outside agencies’ investigations are complete, his office couldn’t interfere.

More on Meissner
Meissner, whose entire past spans several Internet websites documenting WFAA-TV (Channel 8) interviews and radio transcripts, recently teamed up with a web developer from Fort Worth, Ali Akbar, to get those prior arrest records, news media reports and interview transcripts taken offline. Akbar, who is on probation for credit card abuse and theft, did not return requests for comment.

However, last Friday, one of the Internet sites was accessed and was deleted. Akbar, admitting to deleting one website earlier this month, has denied involvement; Meissner would not answer any questions related to the deletions. Included in that material were several pieces of information relating to Meissner’s criminal investigations stemming from Bardwell and his employment with a Henderson County police department.

Walker, who said Meissner still calls to “harass her,” had to close down her candle business because of the pressure involved for trying to expose the wrongdoing in Bardwell. She’s now afraid that by coming forward in this article, the harassment will escalate.

“I’m afraid they’ll come after me.”

Citizens who have received tickets from Bardwell officers, or who have paid fines to Gentry, are urged by the state officials in this story to contact the Ellis County/District Attorney’s Office at 972-825-5035.

Have you gotten a ticket?
Seems as though our reserve police officers have not been approved as required by law by the City Council. That means their appointments are ILLEGAL. If you have gotten a ticket from these officers, that means THE TICKET IS ILLEGAL too. If you got a ticket, did you go to City Hall and pay SHANNON SPURGEON, a non-bonded city clerk? Who took your money, after assessing your fine?

Demand your tickets be dismissed *lawyers can do it cheap*.

If they dont dismiss it, file a civil suit and appeal it to county court.

Regarding Comments On This Site....

We recv'd a comment yesterday evening accusing us of "putting our spin" on things and "not letting comments through". We refuse to post comments which are threatning in nature, cursing individuals, and attempts to intimidate people here in town who may or may not agree with the things said here.

In fact, we have declined very few comments. The comments we have declined have been written in the same tone, same spelling, etc. , which leads us to believe it is the same person, who always posts anonymously.

We are only printing the facts on this site. Michael Meissner has validated most of what is on this site, including the mayor's pissing problem. We recieved an email from Arron Vendeventer, who identified himself as Jinker's grandson.

We have gotten emails from Paula Vendeventer, as well. Out of all the emails and messages we have recieved, these are the ONLY 2 who have identified themselves. They sent us emails, so they were not posted here.

Arron said that he is in Iraq "fighting for hardworking American's like him (Jinker)".... .He goes on to say that we "tried so hard and still suck at life"....and to "get a grip and recognize his grandfather is a better person and always will be".

While we support Arron, and all of our Troops in Iraq, we disagree with his statements. The only thing that Jinker has worked hard at is screwing this city. Look at our deplorable streets, the lack of street signs, the police department, the lack of city improvements. Look at the lack of animal control! The ONLY animal control we have is Jinker picking up dogs and taking them out of town and blowing their brains out.

We tend to disagree that we suck at life, as well. In fact, life is great (and it's better for us than Jinker and his chronies). We will never recognize Jinker as nothing more than a corrupt politician who only does things that benefit himself and not this city. He is nothing but a habitual drunk, and a disgrace to this city. The only person that Jinker is looking out for is himself and things that benefit him.

Updates/TIPS Email

We rec'vd an email from someone in regards to JAMES DRENNAN, convicted sexual predator. They state he has NOT been convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault, but this is reported on PUBLICDATA, as noted in the story "Jinker and the Sex Offender".

We have recieved a request to put a list of all sex offenders who live in the Bardwell area on the website, and we will do just that.

The poster also states that the charge on DRENNAN was bogus, however, he was convicted. Evidently, a court of competent jurisdiction found it appropriate to convict Mr. Drennan and sentenced him to time in prison.

We have discussed the MichaelMeissner.com Tips Site and they report they have recieved hundreds of tips on Meissner's criminal activities since the site went up January 20, with nearly 75% of them being legitimate tips, all of which are automatically sent to law enforcement using a high-tech filter system.

A Message To Michael Meissner From Ellis County Observer Reader & A Letter To Their Editor (IF you want to call him that)

This is a letter to Michael Meissner that is on the Ellis County Observer Dated August 11, 2007:

To: Mr. Meissner

You know exactly why your F-5 says March 05′. Because when you resigned, you did not send in an F-5 on yourself so that you could exploit the loophole of still being “on the books” with TCLEOSE and continue working off-duty security jobs at Cowboy’s Bar in Arlington as a Bardwell Officer. Your city had to be shown how to submit an F-5 on you after you left because since there was no Chief of Police to do it, you were still being carried as an officer. That is why your F-5 says March becuase it took someone that long to show your city how to submit an F-5 after you left. As far as proof, what better proof than your own words. On the show a few weeks ago you did not deny that you resigned from Bardwell on Feb. 7th. So why were you still working off-duty security jobs as a Bardwell Officer in Arlington after you resigned? Why don’t you be a man and admit that you did not bother to submit an F-5 on yourself when you resigned, which not including the evidence an property room issues is just another example of how you neglected your duties as Chief. It was your responsibility as Chief of Police to report your separation to TCLEOSE on a F-5. But we all know you neglected to do that. We could easily clear this up by viewing the date on your resignation letter if you had not taken your personnel file with you when you left. What a coincidence, your personel file is missing from Bardwell, Caney City, and Caddo Mills. In Caddo Mills you stole all of your reprimands out of your file and were dumb enough to show people your file after you stole it prompting Chief Still to request a Texas Ranger Investigation on your missing files on 01/25/02. If you were smart you would just fade away but instead you have to keep coming back and try to convince everyone what an innocent victim you are and that it’s just one or two people out to get you. You created all of these problems for yourself, nobody is out to get you. Stop all of your lies and just straighten up. Quit getting your mommy to write recommendation letters for you on your website such as the 05/08/06 letter. It’s getting pathetic, your about 40 years old and your mom is having to write letters for you. That’s funny when you tell me to be “man enough” in your earlier post. At least my mommy doesn’t have to write letters for me on any website or in life. Why don’t you be “man enough” and just admit what you’ve done and move on instead of claiming you didn’t do anything and it’s a few other people’s fault becuse they are out to get you. This is a "Letter to the Editor" that was posted on the Ellis County Observer site tonight, detailing more reports on Meissner.

This letter was sent to us on Friday, August 10, 2007. This was addressed to Ali A. Akbar, Executive Editor, ECO. In response Akbar stated, “I’m glad to get back to the issue. I take no stances before the Justice system comes to a verdict.”

What I’m saying is that just because Meissner is no longer employed in Ellis County, it doesn’t mean he is no longer relevant to Ellis County residents. Anthony Williams is a former Bardwell Officer who lives in Ferris, Texas which is in Ellis County. Meissner terrorized him and his finance to the point where they had to hide in their own home. Finally on another surprise visit by Miessner they had to call the Sheriff’s Office. The report is available at the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office under report number 06-05108.

Then on your show it was said Meissner resigned from Bardwell 02/07/05. So why was he illegally working an off-duty job as a Bardwell Police Officer on 02/11/05 at Cowboy’s Bar in Arlington (Arlington PD report # 050009585).

I’m also listening to your show now and understand why you called out the John Hopkins guy from the Intruder. All I’m trying to say is Meissner is a menace to a lot of people not just this John guy. I listing the incidents above to give you some insight into Meissner’s credibility. I would hate for you all to take what Meissner says as gospel just because you and the Intruder guy get crossed.

Thanks for your time and I enjoy your show. I will continue to listen but I would like to hear Meissner’s explanation for the above things. I didn’t make these things up, they are documented in police reports.

Let's get it on! Joey Dauben has either forgotten or doesn't want to admit he sent that. Here is their Custodian of Records information. We don't have nothing to hide.

Ali Akbar tries to be cute and runs his mouth, along with Joey, without even thinking of what they are publishing (and publishing don't always mean in print, according to case law)....

Here is what we think on this:

We don't have nothing to hide. Sure, Joey Dauben can deny it all he wants, and who knows, he may truly not remember doing it- but to blatantly accuse the Intruder of hacking his website (which if it did occur, would be a criminal offense)- but it didn't happen! We'll polygraph that any day of the week! Subpoena the chat log of joeydauben on Yahoo! August 3, 2007 between 730PM and 839PM, approximately would cover the conversation that took place. It was saved on the email (the segment where he identified Meissner as biggerissue thanBardwell.

We will go to court ANY day of the week, and walk out a winner, and you can take that to the bank.

As for Mr. Akbar's describing of Mr. Hoskins, calling him a psycho, etc, is totally libel and slanderous. Funny thing, he quoted verbatim what was in the threats sent to the michalmeissner.com website, which came from Michael Meissner himself, after he bragged to a Police Chief (whom he thought was his friend) that he was going to create false police reports against Hoskins. He then did what he said he was going to do. The 2nd go-around he got caught, red handed by 2 Police Officers at Kinkos, who with their camera phone recorded him in the act of sending more emails under the same screen name.

Same thing with what took place several weeks ago when Maggie Walker was being attacked.

We aren't after Ali Akbar or Joey Dauben, but if they want to republish false information which has never been confirmed, and is blatantly false, and harms the reputation of others, then we may have to seek civil action against them. This includes making the accusation that the Intruder hacked their website. Why don't you have Ali's mom draft a subpoena for your records if they aren't on your computer Joey..... You will see you have done a grave injustice to the Intruder, and made yet another false allegation.

The difference in what we are publishing on this blog versus what Michael Meissner is trying to get out, is that this information is public record, and has been witnessed to have occurred. The defamation of character is because of individuals knowledge of Meissner's own potential violations of the law.

Meissner has to fabricate his documents (and even brags when he does it). Not one document on the other site (michaelmeissner.com was fabricated).

The truth will come out, we will prevail, and be victorious. And you can take that to the bank.

Bardwell City Council Meeting Held Illegally/Meissner Confirms Mayors Pissing Problem

Tonight's City Council Meeting was held in violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act, because NO DATE was posted on the agenda.

Sometime AFTER the 72 hour period expired, SOMEONE came in and wrote in the date for the Council Meeting to be on Monday. This is the ORIGINAL agenda, as was sent out AND POSTED.

The Councilmembers showed up, and after a heated exchange or two between citizens and the Mayor, the council went, illegally into executive session. The two councilmembers refused to take part and walked out of the meeting, and did not return. More people were seen walking into city hall after this happend.

We are calling for the IMMEDIATE resignation of Mayor PW Gentry. Mayor Gentry attempted to hold an illegal meeting tonight, and refuses to even entertain a motion. Gentry has illegally hired a NON BONDABLE employee, whom he collects rent from. We believe that legal action should be initated to remove Jinker from office immediatley, and prosecuted for violating the open meetings act.

The City Clerk, Shannon Spurgeon handles money and CAN NOT be bonded.

Also, last Friday night, Michael Meissner confirmed for the listeners of the Ellis County Radio Show that Jinker Gentry urinated in front of a woman's house, and that he was "hung like a mule". This is a disgrace to the City! Jinker chickend out and didnt go on the air. Thanks Meissner for confirming what we have said on the blog!

Michael Meissner, Jinker Gentry Back Out Of Being On-The-Air Friday Night

Joey Dauben, the publisher stated he was going to "ask some tough questions", that would expose them, and after that, all parties backed out. Meissner states that it is not in his best interest at this time to go on the radio show. We assume it is because of the on-going investigations and because he has been caught lying. Ali Akbar resigned his position with the observer, and is supposedly rallying for Michael's cause.

We are releasing the tape of Meissner discussing the inventory of the evidence room here now.

Stance on Ellis County Observer/Posting of a Reader Comment

Ali Akbar has called for the Intruder to be on the radio show on Friday. We have refused, and will continue to do so. What Ali Akbar has not said is that he is in direct contact with Michael Meissner. We refuse to take part, just as we said last time- because of Meissner's involvement.

We caution The Ellis County Observer, and despite every disclaimer in the world, re-publishing untrue statements, even allowing a medium for doing so could result in a lawsuit being filed against any individuals who slander another individual.

We refuse to go on-the-air. Refusal to be on the radio show is not stating what we have printed on the blog is a lie, but that there is information and witnesses who do not want to be identified in the media, but will do so during the course of a criminal investigation or in a courtroom. The media is not Judge, Jury and Executioner. Identifying our sources of information could lead to RETALIATION against them by any or all parties, including Michael Meissner and Mayor Gentry. We will not allow them to be crucified by Meissner and his campaign to "make things positive in Bardwell".

For your information, there is NO connection between michaelmeissner.com and the Intruder, other than they are hosting a 10 meg file (which is too big to be put here or on yahoo)- and we don't have the money for our own domain and hosting. Listen to the tapes about the threats.

Believe Michael Meissner and Jinker Gentry if you want. The truth will be revealed about their activities, we are quite sure, in the near future......And when it happens, we can say "told ya so, Ali".

The real police (deputy) had to call folks in to escort him home and drive the police car back to town. And oh yea his Girlfriend at the time now wife was with him riding in the city police car.

We did not approve the messages calling us vulgar names and the like. Evidently, we are doing our job, because some are upset that the truth is being exposed (kind of like Jinker's privates when he urinates in peoples yards.)

The fact remains, there are witnesses, and if it was to ever go to court, that, and more would be exposed.

People are upset, because they "don't want to rock the boat".

Michael Meissner tried to accuse Maggie Walker of absolutely absurd things, but considering he is the subject of on-going investigations himself, as reported in the media, then I don't think he is the poster child for saying squat. He should know what it is like to be being investigated- he has been investigated enough times to know!

Meissner also accuses of Maggie Walker of leaking information from City Hall, and even tries to allege that she may have something to do with this blog, from the way he talked last Friday.

We never have met Maggie Walker, and wouldn't know what she looked like if she walked in front of us.

Guess this whole 'blog" thing upset an apple cart or two, and like the Titantic, the situation, and for those who are engaged in things they shouldn't be, its like a sinking ship- anyone on board will drown. The torpedos have been fired, and the ship is sinking. Maybe the best thing to do would be "ABANDONING SHIP". You know what you all have done, and should probably heed the warning you have been given.

Whats next, only time will tell!

Well guys and gals, here are a couple of comments regarding last night's show on the air. The fact is, Michael Meissner has been trying to learn our identity for some time. He has asked for assistance in locating the publishers of the blog, and identifying them.

Michael Meissner was on the radio, and absoultely bald-face lied regarding some of the questions he was asked.

First off, Meissner accuses Councilwoman Maggie Walker of leaking information out of city hall, and it ending up on the blog. This can't be proven, period, because it didn't happen. In fact, we have never spoken to Maggie Walker at all, much less about this blog. Michael, could you say defamation of character #1? It isn't enough that you brag about threatning her, AFTER being let go as Police Chief, you have to come on the air with those "3 offense reports". Lets see, did you do those at KINKOS? After all, you have been videotaped being there, sending threatning emails under the alias Robert Delarosa (*from Youtube*, is how we got that info...)

What about #2 & 3,

It is quite ashame that Michael Meissner resorted to accusing Ms. Walker, AND a former Republican Party Chairman of being involved in the manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. This may, very well, end Mr. Meissner up in court, as well as for lying regarding the inventory of the evidence room, and trying to state the last person that saw the evidence room was Officer Brent Rice. Meissner is on tape, and his own lies are contradicting himself.

Wow, he hasn't talked to anyone at the City, yet he knows the City Secretary was at work today---- he hasn't talked to Jinker, the Chief or Shannon Spurgeon-- but he knows who was at work on Friday... Kind of odd, don't you think.

After all, on Thursday, when asked to speak with Brenda (the city Secretary), Shannon stated she didn't work there anymore.....and hung up the phone.

Regarding Michael Meissner's untruthfulness:

We have located several witnesses, which place Michael Meissner, another individual, and Mayor Gentry at the same location, and according to this individual, Mayor Jinker was extremely intoxicated, asking him/her to take him out to eat, or for Meissner to do so, because he was so drunk.

We have also located several witnesses who have seen the 10 year old boy driving Jinker's truck.

We have located several witnesses who will attest to the entire contents of this blog in a court of law, including of that regarding Shannon Spurgeon and Michael Spurgeon.

We know of a witness who saw marijuana taken of a suspect in a gallon bag. Meissner doesnt remember this, evidently. Probably because it isn't in evidence, just like what happend in Caney City. (Funny, 2 towns, files and stuff go missing).

Meissner also states the files were given to Maggie Walker, yet he admits on tape the file room is EMPTY, again just like Caney City. If you don't believe us, stroll over to www.michaelmeissner.com. Look where all files and stuff has disappeared.

Did you know that he has been reprimanded several times by TCLEOSE for failing to report his arrest, and been fired and arrested for having a fake degree??

If Jinker, Shannon and Michael Spurgeon wanted, they could have called in last night- but no, a career arestee and FORMER law enforcement officer had to call in and voice his opinion. Unlike Michael Meissner, we actually live here, and won't stand for it. We chose not to go on because of Meissner's involvement with this situation. We were informed several days ago that Meissner would be going on the Observer show, along with possibly PW Gentry. Based on Meissner's FELONY arrest history for tampering with a witness, and the discovery of his boasting and bragging about threatning a city councilmember to get a government document altered, we felt as though it was in our best interest to not identify ourselves at this time. THe time will come when we are identified, but this is not the time. Meissner, so elagantly stated that we had more people to worry about in Bardwell, than him. It sounded like a thinly veiled threat to us.

As for your information, there was an officer in Bardwell, Texas who made those tapes that were discussed last night. He was a party to the conversation. By law, only 1 person in the conversation has to know they are recording (IE- the person making the tape- as long as they are part of the conversation), as was the case here.

Thank you Michael for contradicting your own statements. It will be revealed in short order.

Here are a couple of posts (excuse the language) from anonymous posters. Michael Meissner has basically lost his career for his background. We believe him like we believe cows fly. We have the proof, what does he have? Nothing. He doesn't even live here. What is his concern? Probably the fact that Mayor P.W. Michael Meissner on ECO Radio

Tonight, we learned Michael Meissner, former Chief of Police was in the Ellis County Observer radio show.

He voiced his opinions about the blog, and how he thinks that Jenker, Shannon Spurgeon and Michael Spurgeon are getting a bad rap.

In addition, he said some rather unsubstantiated things directed at Maggie Walker, Bardwell City Councilmember. It sounded as though he was retaliating against Ms. Walker, who has absolutely nothing to do with this blog.

He also said things on the air, which contradict his own prior statements, even those on tape, including the inventory of the evidence room. He tried to state that Officer Brent Rice was the last to do an inventory, when the tape states that he and Mayor Gentry went in 3 days later.

Meissner seemed to defend the 3 people who the majority of the posts are about.

We used an intermediary tonight after learning Meissner was on. This was nothing more in an attempt to locate the publishers of the blog. In fact, Meissner has asked certain persons to locate the publisher of the blog, and identify them. Just what is his interest? This was PRIOR to the postings about him.

The Publishers of the Bardwell Intruder are calling for the immediate resignations of Mayor Prentice (P.W.) "Jenker" Gentry, City Clerk Shannon Spurgeon, and Police Chief Michael Spurgeon.

In the event that these officials do not resign, we call upon Councilman Alvie Hollingsworth and Councilwoman Maggie Walker to immediately terminate City Clerk Shannon Spurgeon and Chief of Police Michael Spurgeon.

Our basis is as follows:

Mayor Prentice W. Gentry (Jenker) has abused his position of power, conducting an illegal hiring of City Clerk Shannon Spurgeon. Mayor Gentry has been convicted on multiple offenses involving alcohol, and has been witnessed urinating, in public in citizens yards. Mayor Gentry also has been arrested and convicted on charges involing public intoxication, driving while intoxicated, and for unlawfully carrying a weapon, specifically a firearm. Mayor Gentry has a known and registered Sex Offender, whom is convicted of Indecency W/ A Child and Aggravated Sexual Assault. associating with the Mayor at his shop. This is the same shop where children are often at, including the 10 year old Jenker allows to operate a motor vehicle on a public street, without a drivers license.

City Clerk Shannon Spurgeon is not bonded as required by law. She was hired illegally, without the vote of the City Council. She handles money, and is not able to be bonded, and in fact, has been rejected by TWO bonding companies for the issuance of a bond. In addition, City Clerk Spurgeon has been using city equipment, specifically the city computer and internet to access the Bardwell Intruder and Ellis County Observer blogs.

Chief of Police Michael Spurgeon has ignored violations of the law, to include the public drunkedness of Mayor P.W. Gentry. Chief Spurgeon's brother, a former Bardwell Officer has told other officers and chiefs that Chief Spurgeon has said that he can not arrest Mayor Gentry for anything, or he would loose his job. Chief Spurgeon's brother stated that this was said by Michael. It is a well known fact that Mayor Gentry is allowing a 10 year old minor child, whom he is not the legal guardian of, operate a motor vehicle. Chief Spurgeon has been accessing the Bardwell Intruder blog and Ellis County Observer blogs on a city computer, and using the computer for personal use In addition, Chief Spurgeon would come from Irving, Texas- and pick up the police car, and drove to Ennis on personal business, specifically meeting with his now wife, before they were married when she worked at an Ennis nursing home. Shannon Spurgeon has been seen driving the patrol car on numerous occasions, even though she is not a police officer.

All three have brought discredit to this City, and this City Council, including while violating state law in some way.

We are calling for the immediate resignations of all three members of our government, and if they refuse to resign, the immediate termination of City Clerk Spurgeon and Chief Michael Spurgeon.

We are calling for the immedaite resignation of Mayor Gentry. In the event he refuses to resign, we are calling for a petition to be filed with the District Court outlining his incompetincies, his public drunkedness, criminal history, and arrest history.

We believe it is better to resign, instead of being forcefully removed from office, as is an option. We stand behind City Councilmembers Walker and Hollingsworth, and call on them to initate the actions needed to resolve this issue. It is better for this to occur now, rather than to be exposed by the media at a later time, or charged with criminal offenses and removed from office.

A new tape has been uncovered which shows that Former Chief of Police Michael Meissner used intimidation, private investigators, and strong-arm tactics against Bardwell City Councilmember Maggie Walker in 2005 to secure a letter of recommendation and a new termination form filed with TCLOSE by the City of Bardwell. Meissner, in his own words brags about hiring Private Investigators to look into Maggie Walker's past, all the way to her high school days, and other things. He admits to threatning Ms. Walker, using strong arm tactics and more to get a governmental record altered. He then brags about how he got numerous commendations after this. He talks about PI's photographing Ms. Walker's house, and how "she didn't know what to think". Now we bet Meissner don't know what to think, either!

The Intruder was emailed a copy of the tape last night.

Meissner also talks about how he put a letter for Jenker to sign in Jenker's truck, and how Jenker found it in all of the beer cans in his floor board.... (Not on segment below)....But will be added soon.

This reveals that Meissner has potenitally intimidated city officials into submitting to his demands. Meissner also admits on tape that Jenker's pickup was full of beer cans. This is Meissner's own words. It was recorded by a former Bardwell Officer some time ago, and sent to the Intruder last night.

Jenker's Private Parts Aren't So Private....

You know, about a year and half ago, Mayor Jenker decided to relieve himself in a local resident's yard, with her standing outside watching this. Jenker decided it was time to "take a whiz", right in front of the poor ol' lady (dont'cha know that was a site to see). If you ride around town, you might find a can labeled "Jenker's Piss Can" in a yard because he decided it was time to urinate in this ladies yard, like a waterfall, with- her standing right there watching. She put out a can and labeled it for Jenker for everyone to know.

There have been other citizens who have witnessed him urinating late at night, while one of many nightly drives, on the side of a city street, right in front of a citizen's house. Seems the citizen got to watch him "takin care of business", and we dont mean city business, that is... See, Jenker's public behavior is just down right vulgar, and unbecoming of a public official. I mean, who wants see a 70 something year old man pissing in public?

Jenker, it's called "a private part" for a reason. Please do us all a favor and keep your private parts private. We don't want you polluting our ground water supply with raw urine. That's what sewers are for, and for it to get in the sewer, you gotta "do your business" in a restroom by means of using a toilet, not pissing on city right-of-ways and in citizens yards.

Special Called Meeting- Monday Night- And It Wasn't Signed Off By Mayor Jenker

Well boys and girls, looks like a showdown in Bardwell come Monday night. A special called meeting regarding PERSONNEL was posted on Friday at City Hall. Meeting is Monday nightn at 5:00 PM. Seems it was signed by MAYOR PRO=TEM Alvie Hollingsworth & NOT JENKER. Jenker has been furious ever since... He is running around town talking about how he is "gonna run this town", and that the meeting won't happen. He has been talking about how he "ripped down the agenda". The meeting was re-posted after Jenker ripped it down. Isn't that illegal???? Wait and see what happens on Monday! Ringside seats anyone? JULY 16, 2007 at 5:00 PM!!!! As Judge Mills Lane, the judge/boxing referee says "LET'S GET IT ON".

Wow, I would have never guessed the number of un-educated people here in this city. Wait, I guess I did realize that, since we have no one who will run for Mayor against the Almighty Drunk we have for a mayor (if you want to call him that).

This blog has been accused of slander and all kinds of things since it went online last weekend.

First of all, there isn't anything slanderous there. Jenker is a MULTIPLE convicted DRUNK, Shannon isn't bonded, as required by law, and all of the other stuff on here is just the surface.

What you didn't know is that people are actually more educated than some of those who have posted on the blog. There are people here who know what is really going on, and their support is minimal. Hide behind your anonymous posts. I will bet you a Schlitz (Jenker's favorite beer) that when it all comes down to it, this thing will be blown wide open. Too many people know what is actually happening here in the real world. There is more to this than a few narrow minded people who think Jenker is a saint, and Shannon is alright. Shannon might be alright working at a convienence store, but the fact remains she is not bonded, and that is a violation of state law. Everyone knows it. She had to be BONDED BEFORE STARTING TO WORK. That came from the AG's office!!!

As for Jenker and his drunkedness, after drinking and driving- and being arrested and convicted, and then getting arrested while mayor here for PI, and his own actions, that gives him the HABITUAL DRUNK status. He was arrested on Jan 5, 2005 in the parking lot of the Bardwell Store for PUBLIC INTOXICATION.

He was arrested in Dallas County 7.19.91 Arrested for DWI and Unlawful carrying of weapon. Convicted 9.18.91. Other arrests and convictions are out there as well....

Sue all you want, problem is, you can't find a lawyer to take it- because it is backed up with FACT.

So defend them all you want. Will you bail them out of jail if it comes down to it?

"COPS" Should Come To Bardwell

Well we have a real "metro" like Police force here in big Bardwell. Maybe the TV Show "COPS" should come to town.

Here is a typical day in Bardwell. Mayor wakes up around 6 AM, and immediately hits the bottle. He goes to City Hall, and retrieves the beer from the fridge inside the city offices..... (There was beer left in it for him last year).

Mike decides to patrol, and has city clerk Shannon riding around in the police car with him. A typical day in Bardwell, answering dog calls, writing bogus tickets (which city councilmembers hand out to the citizens- that is when they aren't driving the car themselves). Most typically, though, the Police Chief is at City Hall or more likely home.

The mayor, gets drunk (I bet his liver looks like swiss cheese). He drives around town, then goes to his shop and drives around some more. Here is a street sign we need to put on every street in town, warning drivers and pedestrians alike about Mayor Jenker's driving:

Now, that would make a good episode of "COPS". Our police force arresting OUR drunkard for a mayor. We can call it like we see it, considering his convictions, his arrest, and his blatant, IN PUBLIC alcohol consumption. Look in the back of the truck if you are a cop and stop him, or even in the cab. Then you can see that cooler........... It don't take a rocket scientist to find him, but evidently, our Police Chief is not even close to one. More like a puppet, with Jenker in control of the strings.

Shannon has a reputation here in town, whether or not is true, her appearance, with those boots with the fur around the top, make me think of a street walker. She knows she is not supposed to be in the car, but does anyway. Instead of "Cops", I think we will make the cover of this magazine:

Well, guys and gals, just an observation here- but what is the deal with the connections between the "dynamic trio" consisting of Mayor Jenker, Chief Michael Spurgeon, City Clerk Shannon Spurgon)?

They rent from the Mayor a little trailer on highway 34 (Sycamore Street). They are paid by the City, which Jenker controls, which is obvious.

Shannon is paid by the City, as is Chief Spurgeon.

Shannon and Mike sit in the yard- Shannon sees a traffic violator (or thinks they are), tells Mike to go hop in the car and get them.. He waits till they get out of town, and then stops them. (Witnessed by a Bardwell Citizen)

Jenker drives around with a Schlitz in one hand and the steering wheel in the other (when he has his hands on the wheel).

As little as Bardwell is, the entire town knows Jenker is a drunkard, but hell, who cares when you control the police and the city clerk.

I don't know if it is illegal or not, but sure looks fishy, in a town with very few employees, you have a cop in charge, who is married to the "money taker" (who, as you can read below) isn't bonded.

Then you have Spurgeon who drives Jenker to other cities on non-Bardwell issues.

I don't know what ya'll think, but I think it could either be a triangle, or just a 3-way screw up. I mean, they all have issues. We get part time police protection, illegal activities in city hall, and a Mayor "who has yet to tame the blue bull". (FYI- a blue bull is the Schlitz logo)

Maybe the money that Shannon collects, or Jenker's own finances should invest in the Schlitz Malt Liqour company. Hell, he might even becom a millionaire, and buy the city, since he obviously controls it.

Here is something from "Modern Drunkard Magazine", which maybe we should give a complimentary subscription to Jenker:

Aesthetics: The Bull is angry. He’s trapped against a wall. A white wall. To Schlitz’s credit, they don’t throw cheap adjectives like “premium” or “fine” on the label. All they feel the need to tell you is the name, alcohol content and size. What else do ya need to know, professor?

Jenker goes to the "Linebacker" store to buy, and doesn't even support our local merchants. Wonder where the blue bull's testicles are (or the one who drinks it and runs this town). Maybe we should all grow a pair and clean up city hall (if we don't have them, or if ours hasn't dropped yet) As for Chief Spurgeon, if were to arrest his boss, the Mayor, he would probably be evicted & Fired!

Shannon Spurgeon - City Clerk Not Bonded- Violates State Law & The Council Won't Do A Darn Thing (or Can't) because of Mayor Jenker

How is it that the POLICE CHIEF, can be married to the CITY CLERK?

As was posted on "Ellis County Observer", our City Water Clerk collects money and is not bonded. Yet, the council can't (because Mayor Jenker calls the shots) or won't fire her because of her inability to be bonded.

She has collected money since she was hired right at a year or so ago.

State Law requires that clerks be bonded. Ms. Shannon ain't bonded, and can't be bonded, but no one knows why........

From the Local Government Code, Chapter 24.

§ 24.052. CLERK AND TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR; BOND; POWERS AND DUTIES. (a) The governing body of the municipality shall appoint a competent person as clerk of the municipality. The clerk is also the tax assessor-collector of the municipality. (b) Before beginning to perform the duties of the office, the clerk must execute a good and sufficient bond with a surety company authorized to do business in this state. The bond must be: (1) in an amount determined by the governing body to be sufficient to protect the funds of the municipality, but not less than twice the largest amount collected at any one time in the preceding fiscal or calendar year; (2) approved by the governing body; and (3) filed and recorded in the minutes of the governing body. (c) The clerk has the same powers and duties that are imposed by the general laws on the clerk, treasurer, and tax assessor-collector of a Type A or Type B general-law municipality.Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987.

Maybe an audit would be in order by the Attorney General, as public funds are involved.

Why can't Ms. Shannon be bonded. This bond was supposed to be filed BEFORE she started to work, not a year later. We have been in violation of the law for a year or so, but who cares, this is Bardwell, and Jenker calls the shots, makes the rules, and the law.

Are we sure our funds and water bill payments have all went to the city coffer, since our clerk can't be bonded, and hasn't been bonded not 1 day of her employment?

We are going to start this blog off with some post about mayor Prentice (P.W.) "Jenker" Gentry..... Seems that Mayor Gentry is a habitual drunk. Has a lengthy arrest history, including DWIs in Dallas County (convictions) , Unlawfull Carrying of a Weapon (convictions)- Dallas County, and several criminal charges right here in little 'ol Bardwell (of course not by OUR police. They are HIS force).

He has been arrested for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Public Intoxication, right here in our own backyard, WHILE serving as MAYOR, yet he is still the Mayor.

WOW, no wonder Jenker can drive around inibriated, and never go to jail. He has the Police Chief under HIS control. We will post more on this issue later... Now on to another topic... "Let's get this party started".
